i may not hold your hand
every time we walk
to and from the van
but it doesn't mean i love you less
i may not kiss your velvet cheek
more than a couple of times
on an odd week
but it doesn't mean i love you less
it may seem i put you last
and things were better
back in the past
but i don't love you any less
i choose to spend my time with you
some may think that
it's something i'm made to
that's why i need them less
no words can cover
all my faults
this i ask wife & lover
never think i love you less
perhaps if i were more open
neither of us
would be sittin' and mopin'
and time apart would be less
as the work bell prepares to ring
and i have walked out the door
